“Through my experience in the private sector, I am mostly aware that in certain issues also personal and commercial aspects play along. From this point of view, Talo endeavours to follow a strategy that remains close to the vast range of interests of our client. Our task as a lawyer goes obtaining a solution to a legal issue. This also requires a broader comprehension of the corporate sector and economic reality that we find ourselves in today.”
Jan Van Bragt obtained his Master’s degree in Law with distinction in 2010 at the University of Antwerp. In 2011 he attended an additional year at the University of Nancy 2, leading to a Master’s degree in International Business Law.
Jan completed his lawyer’s traineeeship between 2011 and 2014 at the Antwerp Bar, after which he ensued his professional career in the private sector, notably in the transport insurance business.
In August 2016 he joined Talo Advocaten as an associate. Ever since he is active as a Lawyer at the Antwerp Bar.
Jan Van Bragt’s main focuses are on Commercial Law, more specifically in Company Law, Construction Law, Companies in difficulties (WCO) and Transport Law. He can rely on both his education as a lawyer as his experiences in the private sector. This allows him to evaluate certain problems in a wider context, that goes beyond the legal aspects, and to approach these issues from a broader point of view.
